SGE-SYSCOM is a point of reference in the distribution of passive and electromechanical components in the Italian market. The company was founded in 1968 and today has more than 50 years of experience.

The challenge
About 3 years ago, SGE decided to update and renew its infrastructure, given the evolutions and all the technology updates on the market.
Their request was a reliable, stable, cost-competitive solution that would guarantee business continuity
Furthermore, to mitigate the escalation of cyber threats and attacks, they subsequently decided to implement the entire IT security part to obtain 360° protection of the organizational network and complete visibility.
Sangfor Solution
As regards the renewal of the infrastructure, together with the partner Vicsam, they have chosen to implement the Sangfor HCI hyperconverged infrastructure solution.
They chose this technology because it proved to be an excellent solution, with advanced features, at competitive costs. Some of the advantages are: simple operation and quick installation for business-critical applications, business continuity guarantees, a single user interface to manage all IT resources.
As regards the security part, they have chosen to implement a real Sangfor ecosystem integrated with each other. They opted for the Sangfor Cyber Command solution, a Network Detection & Response (NDR) platform that continuously monitors network traffic, applying advanced AI-based algorithms and analytics to detect hidden risks and threats.
To expand the solution and have complete coverage, they also chose to correlate the endpoints, configuring Sangfor Endpoint Secure, a complete solution for endpoint security that combines EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) and EPP (Endpoint Protection Platform) functionalities.
The synergy and integration of these cybersecurity technologies, based on the Sangfor HCI infrastructure, allow 360° network protection and visibility.
