The challenge
In 2020 Sogetel faced a data breach, while they were using a standard endpoint antivirus for their workstations, which were encrypted by a Cryptolocker. They lost a backup appliance, one of the domain controllers. While they managed to recover almost everything, they learned the hard way how important safety was.
They asked Atinet (Sangfor partner) for a new solution that could keep security issues at bay, especially for production servers.
Sangfor Solution
Sogetel srl became acquainted with Sangfor security solutions and began to use, initially, the functions of Sangfor Endpoint Secure. This allowed them to gather a lot of information about security weaknesses in their environment. They wanted to guarantee each endpoint an integrated security tool, they wanted to strengthen security in synergy with VA Scans and they wanted total protection of the entire infrastructure.

- management of security policies logically divided based on user activity
- Control of all applications at the end points
- VA of the end points and related OS patching
- Monthly report with evidence to support ISO 207001 and GDPR compliance
To date, they have installed it in every workstation and server. Sangfor's Endpoint vulnerability scans help their IT department keep systems safe, while alerts on workstations prevent users from using malicious software. They are considering expanding the collaboration with Sangfor to evaluate Cyber Command, to ensure even more comprehensive security.
