A Leader of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
Sangfor is thrilled to announce that it is recognized as a “Leader” in the IDC MarketScape: Zero Trust Network Access Solutions in China, 2022, Vendor Evaluations.
The IDC MarketScape report evaluated 24 ZTNA vendors in China. As part of their research, IDC only evaluated vendors of a certain size that possess the security capabilities to cover the entire network security lifecycle. Vendors are plotted on a chart that measures the Strategies and Capabilities of their ZTNA solution. Vendors are further divided into four categories (from high to low): Leaders, Major Players, Contenders, and Participants. As can be seen in the chart below, Sangfor not only falls in the “Leaders” category but also tops the chart for Strategies and Capabilities.
Get to Know Sangfor’s ZTNA Solution
Sangfor officially launched its ZTNA solution “aTrust” in China in 2019. Using itself as a test subject, Sangfor had implemented aTrust across the organization as part of its own adoption of zero trust. By continuously observing the effectiveness of the solution in actual practice and using feedback to make improvements and refinements, Sangfor developed an advanced ZTNA solution fit for the modern enterprise.
In the short space of three years, aTrust has experienced tremendous growth in user adoption in the Chinese market. It currently serves 2,000 customers from a wide range of sectors, including enterprise, government, finance, education, and healthcare, and protects 3 million concurrent devices.
International roll out of our ZTNA solution is currently in the pipeline. For the meantime, international customers can get an idea of what to expect from Sangfor’s ZTNA solution by reading through its advantages as per the IDC report.
The Advantages of Sangfor’s ZTNA Solution
The IDC MarketScape report lists the following advantages of Sangfor’s ZTNA solution.
1. Extensive Use Cases
Sangfor’s ZTNA solution supports a variety of business use cases, such as remote office, mobile office, hybrid office, multi-branch office, remote development, privileged access, data center micro-segmentation, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The solution can be easily expanded to satisfy additional use cases through various core components, such as SDP gateway, direct connect gateway (DGW), cloud workload protection platform (CWPP), unified endpoint management (UEM) sandbox, and IoT gateway.
2. Easy Implementation
Sangfor has rich experience in implementing zero trust network access solutions. Sangfor’s ZTNA solution supports various deployment methods to meet the needs of different user environments, requires minimal modification to the user’s network, provides full endpoint security capabilities, and offers good compatibility.
3. Strong Authentication
Sangfor’s ZTNA solution collects rich data samples from various components, such as clients, gateways, firewalls, network sensors, and third-party PIPs. Correlation analysis of identity, endpoint, and behavior provides continuous risk and trust assessment against security baselines. Based on the trust assessment results, various PEP components correlate in real time to achieve dynamic access control using alerts, enhanced authentication, intelligent privilege downgrading, and coordinated blocking.
4. Sustainable Operations
Sangfor’s ZTNA solution includes a range of tools, such as risk mapping, alert center, behavior tracking, and intelligent reporting, to provide security visibility in different dimensions. The solution uses an evaluation system to evaluate security effectiveness from the perspective of the organization, endpoints, and applications to help security teams transform from constant fire-fighting mode to proactive risk monitoring and security management.
5. Dedicated Services
To guarantee the successful implementation of the system, Sangfor provides dedicated services for its ZTNA solution, delivering an all-round “Platform + Components +Service” solution. Services cover multiple key stages in the adoption of ZTNA, including design implementation, deployment, promotion, and operation. These services ultimately help users put ZTNA in practice as opposed to only putting it in place.
