Kuala Lumpur, 18/10/2024—Sangfor Technologies, a leading provider of cybersecurity and cloud computing solutions, has announced the launch of its second Point of Presence (POP) in Malaysia for its flagship SASE offering, Sangfor Access Secure. This milestone makes Sangfor the first Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) provider in Malaysia with two POPs, underscoring its commitment to enhancing security and connectivity for businesses nationwide.
As Malaysian organizations embrace the hybrid work model, the volume and sophistication of cyber threats are rising. In 2023, local businesses faced over 74,000 cyberattacks daily, amounting to 26.85 million for the year. In response, both government and industry regulations are pushing organizations to strengthen their cybersecurity measures.
In line with the Malaysian National Cyber Security Agency’s (NACSA) goal to improve national cybersecurity, the new POP in Kuala Lumpur offers enhanced security and performance, helping businesses safeguard their operations from malicious activities. It complements Sangfor’s existing SASE infrastructure, bringing greater redundancy, improved latency, and increased bandwidth capabilities to meet growing cybersecurity demands.
The new POP supports the Sangfor Access Secure platform, including solutions such as Sangfor Zero Trust Guard and Sangfor Secured Global Access. These solutions offer secure and reliable access to applications and resources hosted on the open internet, public and private clouds, and data centers. Powered by best-in-class AI-enabled threat detection, Access Secure ensures robust protection against advanced and zero-day threats while delivering high ROI through simplified management and end-to-end digital experience monitoring.
To mark the launch, Sangfor Technologies hosted a workshop in Kuala Lumpur on October 16, 2024. The event brought together public and private enterprises across the region to explore Access Secure’s capabilities. The initiative further strengthened Sangfor’s strategic partnerships and collaborations with local enterprises and service providers in Malaysia to deliver a solution that meets customer needs.
