Overview
Giusti Wine was born in 2004, with the purchase of the first two hectares of land by Ermenegildo Giusti, an entrepreneur from Treviso leading an industrial group in Canada, leader in the construction sector on the West Coast. The initial investment, and the planting of the first vineyard in 2006, was followed by a massive investment plan which led to a property area of 100 hectares at the beginning of 2016, divided into ten distinct estates.
His family - Noble of Conegliano since 1600 - has always had interests and links with viticulture, the first vineyards date back to 1870.
The need
Giusti needed to revamp its old infrastructure by migrating to a solution that guaranteed greater performance and stability to meet its 24/7 service standards. The new infrastructure needed to be intuitive and easy to manage. They were also asked to implement a rapid migration process to minimize company downtime.
Sangfor Solution
The Sangfor solution that has been implemented includes an HCI cluster made up of 2 nodes so as to exploit the possibility of direct attach and preserve investments. The Hyperconverged solution with storage virtualization made it possible to increase performance in terms of IOPS compared to the previous traditional architecture.
HCI also provides an integrated, reliable backup solution without the need for additional licenses with the ability to also back up Vmware virtual machines.
This feature made the automated migration process possible without down-time risks. Furthermore, the backup provides the possibility of directly restarting the VM from the backup file, instantly restoring business operations. Managing the entire system and the entire virtualized network from a single point via a single centralized management console was considered a further plus of the Sangfor solution.
