PCI Tech Center is an educational technology provider based in the Philippines. Created in 2018, the company is made up of passionate, talented, and like-minded people who strive to deliver advanced tools to institutions that make learning easier.
PCI saw an increase in school dropouts and lower learning retention rates within these schooling institutions that were brought about by high education costs, social divide, and a lack of proper facilities.
This pushed the company to take a systematic approach to education by providing these learning facilities with Digital Solutions, E-learning, and Simulation Services specialized to the needs of their students. This also led to the establishment of the Philippines Cyber Institute.
The PCI Tech company encourages the use of innovative technology to succeed which is why it was important to ensure the company’s IT infrastructure solutions did the same.

PCI Tech Center's Pain-Points
The company’s first cloud provider was used to deploy many platforms, including its Learning Management System – or LMS. Eventually, PCI began experiencing multiple issues with this cloud provider.
A key issue for the company was the cost of renting out the cloud provider’s resources. Initially, the issue of the expenditure seemed acceptable while using such a large amount of infrastructure despite performance issues. However, the expenses started to affect the business.
Many business opportunities were lost due to the cloud provider providing solutions that could not fit the budget of the prospective universities. Additionally, the provider charged several hidden costs for the use of its cloud platform – including data egress and propriety charges.
The PCI could not find a way to reconcile the expenses of using its first cloud provider anymore and sought a new cloud vendor – which is where Sangfor stepped in.
Sangfor’s Solution for PCI Tech Center
Sangfor proposed the use of its Managed Cloud Services to give the PCI organization a local cloud platform that could cater to its needs.
The solution was specialized to the company’s data privacy – ensuring that PCI’s client data was kept solely within the country and was also much more efficient and simpler to use.
The straightforward design of the platform also provided a better user experience which made latency a thing of the past for PCI.
